Summary

No matter what business area you operate in, a website is always something that could benefit you as we're seeing more of everything we do moving online. Studies show that by 2025 almost every business will have some online presence. Whilst social media can be a good place to begin, businesses that want to elevate and expand their ideas will almost always have a website too.

In the UK alone, Google's search engine sees 3.5 billion searches per day which works out at 40,000 every single second. Many of these are everyday people within your local area looking for a solution to their problem. A website is a great way to drive organic (free) traffic to your business through the power of the internet. Another study has shown that if a potential customer heard about your business but cannot find a website, they are much more likely to take their business elsewhere as your company's professionalism aspect now appears to be lacking.

Although it's important to have a website in the first place, there is a big difference between a website that simply exists or a website that serves as a purpose, looks eye-catching and generates new customers. With template building sites such as Wix, Squarespace and Shopify it's never been easier for somebody with relatively no technical knowhow to 'build' themselves a new website. However, the quality between such template builders and the bespoke websites delivered at Influx couldn't be further apart.

How a new website could benefit your business

1. Increase sales, revenue and customer retention rates throughout various areas of your business.

2. A better understanding of your customers by using analytics software that tracks when they interact with your website in real-time.

3. Re-target the customers who decided to not checkout after visiting your website with various marketing and email campaign tools.

4. Link your website up with other third-party apps such as Google maps, booking systems and mobile apps to offer a more well-rounded user experience.

5. Offer a much more aesthetically pleasing experience that inspires potential customers and makes them want to buy into your business idea.

Other questions you may be wondering

Q. Will I be able to manage my website myself once Influx has designed and developed it for me?

A. Yes, once Influx Studios has completed the website, we offer our customers complete control over their website's content management, which consists of minor changes to images or text. For more substantial changes or fixes such as new functionality or extra pages etc. get back in contact with us, and we'll sort that out for you! Some people prefer to manage the website themselves whereas others would like not to get involved and leave it to us, the choice is yours.

Q. Are there any additional fees on top of the website being design and developed?

A. Yes, the main one to note is hosting.  There's no point in having a website if it's not hosted (live) somewhere however we will take care of that for you. You will pay an annually hosting fee (between £110 - £145) with a £10 per month maintenance fee - also to be paid annually. This maintenance fee covers the monthly audits that we carry out to make sure that your website is still running as it should and that no bugs have arisen. The fee also covers the ongoing support that we provide with each of our clients regarding any questions they may need answering or general technical help with their products and/or services.
